What is Supported Independent Living (SIL) in the NDIS?
Supported independent living is core support for people with higher support needs, who need some level of help at home all the time. This means you need a significant amount of help throughout the day, 7 days a week. This includes overnight support. The support can be provided in a shared home as well. On the other hand, Supported independent living funding can’t be used for things like rent or other day-to-day expenses like groceries.
